On Thursday, 31 August, author Wolf Stein took his guests on a literary, humorous and nature-loving journey from Germany to Canada in the courtyard of the Künstler- und Stipendiatenhaus Salzwedel from 18:30. Eva Curth will accompany this “NaturReise” enchantingly with the sounds of her Celtic harp as part of the 28th Altmark Music Festival.
Eva Curth is one of the most versatile interpreters in the world of harp music. As the daughter of an orchestral musician, she received extensive musical training as a child, which led to her studying the harp at the Detmold Academy of Music and the MOZARTEUM Salzburg Academy of Music and Performing Arts. She completed her soloist diploma with honours. Eva Curth worked for 10 years as a permanent orchestral musician in Berlin before devoting herself entirely to performing and teaching. She is a member of various ensembles and has recorded numerous radio and CD productions. She has taught the harp class at the Georg Philipp Telemann Conservatory in Magdeburg since 2008 and has been deputy chairwoman of the Association of Harpists in Germany since 2016. She performs and teaches worldwide and is a regular soloist and lecturer at international festivals.
Wolf SteinWolf Stein, born in 1977, lives and works in Schwerin when he is not travelling around the world. In search of adventures and encounters with interesting people and wild animals, he travelled to faraway countries for a long time. There he found the fodder for his first tales, stories and songs. However, he has also long been fascinated by the beautiful regions of Germany, such as the forest and lake landscapes of Mecklenburg. He has been a tree planter in Canada, a ranger in Australia, a ferryman on the Schmal Luzin and an “intern for the environment” in the Müritz National Park. Wolf Stein has been a freelance author and musician since 2006. As a member of the Association for the Promotion of Writers and the Friedrich Bödecker Circle in Saxony-Anhalt, he organises writing workshops and literary projects in schools.
