As part of the 30th-anniversary celebrations of the Artists’ and Fellows’ House in September 2027, a special photographic and artistic exhibition by former fellow Florian Glaubitz is planned. The exhibition is intended to commemorate its founder, Christamaria Meyer-Püggen. As a highly respected artist in the GDR and a politician in the post-reunification era, she worked tirelessly to establish and develop the Artists’ and Scholarship Holders’ House. This exhibition project aims to honour her work and commitment and to keep her memory alive in a special way.
Through his photographic work, Florian Glaubitz wishes to explore the art and life of Christamaria Meyer-Püggen artistically; this will involve, amongst other things, photographing items of clothing and accessories from her estate.
We are looking for items on loan for this purpose
We are looking for items of clothing, accessories and personal textile items from the estate of Christamaria Meyer-Püggen that can be made available for a photographic project. The items will be loaned exclusively for a few days to enable the photographs to be taken. Florian Glaubitz will only be in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel district in October 2026, so time is of the essence. Where possible, he would like to collect the items in person and will, of course, return them in full as soon as possible after the photographs have been taken.
In connection with the exhibition, there are also plans to publish a catalogue documenting the photographic work and preserving a lasting record of the exhibition project.
Who can help?
Anyone who still has items of clothing or accessories from Christamaria Meyer-Püggen’s estate and would like to make them available for the project is kindly asked to contact Florian Glaubitz directly.
